Genny Gordy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in art education and a Master of Arts from Ball State University.  She has taught art at every level from pre-school of the arts to Ball State University School of Fine Art. 

Mrs. Gordy has exhibited in numerous venues throughout the US and is represented in many private collections.  Genny, her husband Brian, and son Ben own and operate Gordy Fine Art & Framing Company, a gallery and framing studio in Downtown Muncie, Indiana. 

Gordy’s works, watercolors, drawings and serigraphs, delve into the paradoxical realm between luscious beauty and the despair inherent in everyday life.  These works spring from impulsive bursts of creativity, usually un-planned and driven  by personal experiences and the characteristic properties of her chosen medium.
