Scott Anderson

Born in Lubbock, Texas in 1959, Scott Anderson received a BFA from Texas Tech University in 1982 and an MFA from West Virginia University in 1993, both with an emphasis in painting. Anderson is an Associate Professor in the Art Department at Ball State University where he has been teaching drawing and painting since 1995. He has exhibited his paintings professionally for the past thirty years in galleries, museums, international, national, and regional juried offerings.

My paintings attempt to show idea systems in conflict through a mixture of styles, surfaces, symbols, appropriated images, and forms that have been assembled into a contrasting visual stew.
